WHITE TRUFFLE

DESCRIPTION
From the Latin magnus, meaning “rich gentleman”, the White Truffle is the finest in regards to excellence. It has a smooth, yellowish skin and a yellow gleba, sometimes tending to greyish. The fragrance it gives off is intense, pungent, delicately garlicky.

HARVEST SEASON
From mid-September to the end of December.

Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise.

Oak Tree, Poplar Tree, Weeping Willow Tree, Hazel Tree, Hornbeam Tree.

STORAGE MODE
The fresh White Truffle must always be kept in the least cool area of the refrigerator. Each truffle must be wrapped individually in absorbent or light paper, making sure it remains dry and replacing it often. To prevent aromatic contamination of other foods, fresh truffles can also be wrapped in absorbent paper and sealed in a glass container in the refrigerator. These methods allow the conservation of white truffles for no more than five days.
